Quotes From "Noni Millionaires"

Is this how it is for you?

Your phone rings. It's someone you haven't spoken to in awhile. They sound like they know you very well and you are not sure what they are talking about. What if you had a Personal Assistant (PA) that could immediately show you a screen with all of this person's past interactions with you so that it all could make sense? Now they are saying something important you need to remember. What do you do now? Where do you log notes from the conversation so you can later retrieve it easily? Where do you put the contact information? How do you remind yourself to take the next action with this person? You feel at a loss for words because you just don't remember so you fluff the person off.

It's quiet now. You are sitting at your desk that is piled with papers, post-its, things scribbled on dirty napkins and crumpled envelopes. You want to go to work, but you don't even know where to begin. What if you had a Personal Assistant who could reach into the pile and accurately pick the one thing that most needs to be handled? What if your PA could present to you exactly the most effective thing you could be doing every minute of your workday? What if your PA did a perfect job of recalling and managing ALL the little details of your business that you thought were important back when things had just happened and they were fresh in your mind? After awhile would you learn to trust your PA? It would be worthwhile for you to hire him or her. You might even jokingly start calling him or her TheBOSS?

Being Successful

Being successful in business or life is about establishing and maintaining relationships. New contacts, leads, customers, business partners, friends, family - so many people; so many phone calls, emails, notes, follow-ups, promises and tasks. How can I effectively keep track of it all? Who's this person again? When did we last speak? What did we talk about? What promises were made? Has my partner talked to this person? What's supposed to happen next? How can I remember it all? How can I make sense of it? How can I get rid of the chaos and the paper? One solution is to Hire TheBOSS to keep track of it all!

Let's create a paperless office for you ...

Your address book doesn't really help; it's just an automated address book. It's not enough. Traditional Contact Managers and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software like ACT, Goldmine, and Maximizer tries to do too much. They are for larger corporations.

TheBOSS is a thoughtful way to keep track of the people, conversations, promises and tasks, which are the lifelines of your business relationships. TheBOSS is perfect for home-based business or for someone who is in business for him or herself.

TheBOSS is your home base for everyone that's important to your business. It puts together all those little pieces of paper on your desk into one place. These are points of contact so you can see the bigger picture. It makes one history out of many interactions. TheBOSS helps you make sense of it all.

Not too little, not too much, just right!

Hiring TheBOSS

  • Do you want to organize your life and your office?
  • Do you want to stop having important things fall through the cracks?
  • Do you want a system that will help you keep your promises?

TheBOSS is a feature rich software program designed to support an entrepreneur in a home-based business. That is, anyone who is in business for themselves and that has lots of contacts to keep track of. It could be a partnership like a husband and wife who share the same computer. The system can be installed on a desktop and easily moved to a laptop for traveling.

TheBOSS makes possible a whole new technology and accountability that, up until now, has not been available to NetWork Marketing (NWM). Along with this new technology comes a new vocabulary. We will introduce you to these new concepts in this write-up. There are new words and measurements or metrics that are now available like piques and touches.

TheBOSS is scalable in that if you are new to NetWork Marketing (NWM) TheBOSS will immediately be useful and easy to use. Training videos are available on every subject. As you grow you will find and use more features.

Initially we are oriented around NetWork Marketers (NWM), but anyone with lots to keep track of would benefit from Hiring TheBOSS: contractors, real estate people, seminar leaders, etc. TheBOSS is useful and simple enough for start-up businesses. As your business grows you will be able to use more features. TheBOSS is a fabulous aid for those with a large organization. TheBOSS puts accountability into your legs.

Getting Started

The first thing we do is import our Address Book and this becomes our House File. TheBOSS can handle up to six files. Next we import our Noni Office or other back office data either into our House File or into a separate file.

Second we setup TheBOSS to dial the telephone at all the locations your computer might dial from. You might want to take your laptop and call from home, an office, a vacation home, or a hotel in another city. Each of these Call Locations will have a different set of dialing rules that are easily entered into TheBOSS.

In everyday use a telephone line is plugged into your computer so when you click on Dial on the bottom left corner of your screen you will hear the tones as the phone is dialed. You then pick up the handset and start talking. Or, even better, you plug a headset into your handset so that you have both hands to type on the keyboard and make Call Notes.

Maximum Efficiency

By having the computer dial the phone you no longer need to lookup numbers and dial them manually. No more embarrassing wrong numbers. Your total focus is on the notes you made on the person showing up on the screen.

The Contact Screen

The Contact Screen has two sections. The top half of the screen is called the Contact Section and is where all of personal information is stored for a person or Contact. There is ample room to have notes on this person's why , their goals, their family, kids and pets, their interests, health, etc.

TheBOSS shows you the time at the Contact's location. This is very handy if the Contact is on the other side of the country or even out of the country. You will never again wake someone, by mistake, in the middle of the night.

The Action Section is on the bottom half of the screen. Here we find a record of the last ten, or more interactions you have had with this person. This includes what was discussed, what they did or didn't do, how they are, and promises made with dates (yours or theirs). You will be able to see how they are progressing and formulate what you would like to accomplish in this conversation. By having the conversations visible you will be able to easily spot trends.

When you are ready and have a clear picture of what you would like to have happen on this call click on Dial and start talking. With a headset you have both hands free to take good notes on exactly what happened and especially what you think should happen on the next call.

TheBOSS comes loaded with a set of modifiable emails

If you need to send an email you can do that from TheBOSS at this time. Tell TheBOSS when you would like to follow up with this person. The follow-up date is called the CallDate by TheBOSS. TheBOSS will pop this screen up again on that date (CallDate).

This is the Call Cycle that we are trying to achieve. TheBOSS sorts and selects all your contacts by CallDate and presents to you only the people that require attention on that date. Contacts are presented one at a time so it is just a matter of looking at the screen, trusting what you wrote in the past, setting an intention in your mind for the call, clicking on Dial, talking, taking notes and setup for the next action on this Contact.

Notice there is no paper involved, no distractions, no pencils to sharpen, no phones to dial. All you do is:

1.    Just pull up and look at the next Contact Record

2.    Intend

3.    Click on Dial

4.    Talk and LISTEN

5.    Take notes especially on what you would like to have happen next

6.    Set the next time to follow-up (CallDate)

7.    Repeat this cycle until you are current.

By not having distractions and by knowing you are doing the exact right thing every moment you gain confidence and momentum in your work. You gain trust in this system and affectionately call it your boss. By being successful in your business this is the last boss you will ever need.

You Design & Manage Your Work Load

A Call Session is what we just described here. When you do your business you say how many hours a week you would like to work. Let's say you want to work three days a week for one hour each day. When you sit down in front of TheBOSS you Login and that is the start of your Call Session. When you have completed all the calls (Call Cycles) and actions that need to be accomplished for this CallDate - then your Calling Session is complete. You are current and you can go play knowing you kept your promises.

If you finish in less than one hour then you need more actions to fill in your committed three hours a week. You can either go out into the world and do more prospecting, join more churches or other organizations, or purchase leads.

With experience and with TheBOSS reports you will learn how many Actions or Calls you make in an hour. The drop down Calendars will show you, day-by-day, how many future Actions you have so that you manage your workload and keep within your committed time.

Campaigns

If you have run out of your warm market and are having trouble meeting your goals of piquing interest out in the world then TheBOSS can help. You can design new campaigns. TheBOSS can import purchased leads from various sources and put them into a separate file in TheBOSS. TheBOSS allows up to six different files.

We recommend you set up a protocol for processing and sorting these leads in a very efficient way. First call them. If you talk to them invite them to a presentation or a website and then use TheBOSS to follow-up when you and your prospect say you will.

The prospect will be in or out of your business in just three dials. If you leave a message on the first, second or third call, send them an email. TheBOSS comes with sample emails. After the third Action you are done with them. Once they are interested, either as a customer or a business builder, you can move their records to your House File for on-going follow-up as part of your team. TheBOSS keeps track of your Conversion Rate.

Lead Flow Management

Prospecting, or piquing interest in the world does not count as part of your workweek because it is just what you do in the process of living your life anyway. When you prospect it is important to "run" home and enter this person's information into TheBOSS while it is fresh in your mind. After you have spoken to someone go to the curbstone take some written notes if you can. Don't forget to write about the "why", the next step, and any other details of your conversation that you remember. Tomorrow you will be glad you did. Don't forget to throw the paper away after you have entered your notes into TheBOSS and set-up this Contact's next Action. We don't want any paper in your immaculate office. Your maximum efficiency will happen when you finally have a "paperless office".

The commitment to prospecting is another important dimension of what TheBOSS can measure. If someone is going to be successful in Network Marketing they will have to commit to talking to a lot of people. We call this process piquing interest. Many who are successful in this business will recommend that a downline person commit to piquing interest a certain number of times a day or week pretty much as a habit. You will be successful when piquing is a habit.

Success formulas come out of experience and it is critically important to quantify your experience to see if you are actually doing what you need to do to get where you want to go. For example, committing to and doing and average of two Piques a day would give you about 60 Piques in a month. For a beginner this should result in an average of one or two enrollments per month. This would be a Conversion Rate of about 2 to 4%. Seasoned Network Marketers experience a Conversion Rate of 50% to 90% or more so you can see there is a lot of room for increasing your skills.

TheBOSS will measure your Conversion Rate. If your Conversion Rate is low then you know you need to find a mentorsomeone with a high Conversion Rate - and get yourself some coaching. The difference between your Conversion Rate and your mentor's rate is what we call The Gap . Work on improving yourself and The Gap. Work on improving your skills, and your Conversion Rate. You can do it and with TheBOSS you and your mentor can measure and see your progress!

Finally Some Accountability!

What TheBOSS does here is - it puts personal Accountability into our businesspossibly for the first time. It's an up-line's dream!

Possibly the biggest problem with Network Marketing is the lack of any tools to measure accountability. The lack of measurement tools probably caused the absence of focus on accountability. It is fine to get into Network Marketing and set the goal of making a lot of money, but if you don't set goals of doing the fundamentals of business building we can guarantee that you will NOT make your monetary and other goals. If you expect your business to work you have to put time and effort into it and you have to be effective. TheBOSS gives you Stats or statistics on your funnel to higher pin levels: Call Sessions, the number of Piques you do a day, your Conversion Rate, and the upward movement of pin levels within your group.

TheBOSS is about you keeping your integrity and your own promises to yourself and your future. It is about you achieving your own personal best!

back_to_top

Focus on the Fundamentals!

If you are really serious about your business you will measure and take appropriate actions on these four Fundamentals:

1.    First, you will work the hours and do the Call Sessions you say you will just like you would if you had a J.O.B.

2.    Second, you will reach out to people and pique interest. One way or another you will do the number of Piques per day you say you will or adjust your promise. This is about keeping your word to yourself.

3.    Third, you will work on your skills and effectiveness and your Conversion Rate until it is to a level you are happy with. Share your Stats and work with your mentor or upline. Close The Gap! Be a Super Star!

4.    Fourth, you will intelligently energize your downline. You will realize the Lifetime Value of a customer and/or business builder and will proactively call to make sure everyone is happy or, even better, excited! You will keep track of the Energy Level of each of your DownLine. If their energy is low you will boost them up. TheBoss will help you make many precise quick calls.

By doing these four simple activities you will guarantee your success and TheBOSS will help you all along the way!

e-Marketing & e-Training

{Future} With TheBOSS you can send a timed series of emails to members of your group. You can send a different series to your consumers and/or your business builders. Another series could be newsletter or an educational series or course on something. This is a powerful and easy way to keep people involved, motivated and educated. And the best thing is that it doesn't cost anything!

DownLine Reactivation & Retention

TheBOSS will give you important statistics that you never though possible and probably never thought would be important. These Stats are important if you are considering purchasing or selling a DownLine. These Stats are also critical to running your business like a real business and not just a hobby.

Without these Stats it would be like driving your car with a blindfold on. No real business would operate without accounting or other sales statistics. Many of these numbers are available on TheBOSS's DashBoard Report {Future}.

Percent AutoShip Participation If you are doing a proper job of educating your people close to 100% will be enrolled in AutoShip. Most organizations are 50% or less. This is another gap with what is possible and what is Good Business Practice. With proper education on the importance and benefits of AutoShip you can bring participation in AutoShip closer to 100%. 100% participation is the goal. In this way you can almost double your volume without enrolling any new people.

Average Unit VolumeThis number takes a little calculation. Take your total volume and divide by the number of distributors you have. This gives you the average volume per distributor. Usually this number is quite low so we have another Gap with what is possible. Your company or other experts will probably have a recommended or Optimal Dosage. If the recommended Optimal Dosage is four ounces a day and you find your average consumption is one fourth of an ounce a day then you know you have some educating of your DownLine to do.

Percent AutoShip GrowthThis is the number on AutoShip minus the number off AutoShip for a month divided by the number of active distributors you have. If the percent is plus then you are growing at this monthly rate. If it is negative then you are shrinking and you had better know about this before your organization fades away. Something is wrong! This is something that is mostly never looked at in NetWork Marketing. Residual Income is not permanent income. Your organization is always growing or shrinking and it is your job to know just what it is doing. There is much you can do with TheBOSS to enliven your DownLine!

Aliveness There is a field on the Contact Screen called Energy Level. When you talk to someone we recommend you access their Energy Level and enter it into TheBOSS. This is a number from one to five (kind of like A, B, C, D & F). You will want to focus more on the low energy people to raise them up. Cumulatively your DownLine will have an Energy Level Score.

Trend Report {Future}This report shows the above numbers and other over time. You will know the health of your DownLine and you will know if you are improving. If your Trend Report shows you are going down in any of all of these numbers then it is time to take action and get back to the Fundamentals.

Using these Stats you can diagnose your DownLine and create a strategy to enliven it. Along with TheBOSS comes a set of Best Practices. One Best Practice is to make sure that everyone in your DownLine is called no less than twice a year. Another is to use E-Marketing to educate and to keep your people thinking about you.

Quotes From "Noni Millionaires" by Janice F. Ayre and Ansel E. Gough

"Art in Follow-up: Efficiency is one of the most important components when it comes to following up with prospects and bringing them into your business."

"99% of millionaires have some system in place that allows them to accurately follow-up. Anything from a Rolodex system to computers and PDA's -the method didn't make the difference; the organization as well as consistency did make a difference."

"73% of millionaires identified those struggling in their organization either didn't have an effective follow-up plan, or weren't committed to following up a prospect."

"The majority agrees that the money is in the follow-up. You have to show prospects you are dependable by getting back to them when you say you will. You need to have a system in place to track your contacts." page 83-84

"To Manage: Inform your team what they are accountable for and the standard against which the work is evaluated."

"It's been well documented that when a person is required to record his activities, then productivity increases. When a person is required to record AND report activities, then improvement is dramatic! Are people in your downline recording and reporting?" page 106

Accountability: "I think one of the disadvantages of being in your own business is the fact that you don't have to be committed, if you don't want to. As an employee, if the boss told you to do something, then you would be obliged to do it. So when you're the boss you don't always keep commitments to yourself."

"That's the thing I have seen in my group. A lot of people have committed to talking to five people a day or three people a day. Then they only talk to one and get distracted. They think, ok I'll make it up tomorrow and I'll talk to this many extra tomorrow."

"They don't take it seriously enough. They really need to realize that they have hired themselves. They need to be committed and true to themselves as they would be to a boss."

"Be reasonable, but be consistent and persist and take it seriously. It is a business. If you are wanting to make serious money it's not easy. I think that a lot of people think, 'Oh well I can sign up a couple of people and that's all I have to do. They'll do all this work and I'll make all this money.' Well that's not reality. They have to be accountable to themselves." - Trudy Crow, page 202
