Piquing Interest
A pique is when you reach out or go out into the world and pique someone's interest in your
business or your product. A pique is measurable. You know when you did it. With TheBOSS you will
have notes to prove it. You will have name, address, email, and phone numbers. You will have many
notes on this person, including why they are interested, their dreams, their other interests,
friends, and family. You will have a "by when". A "by when" is a time you have established to
follow up with this person. It will take them so long to check out your website or watch a video
or go to a meeting. All this information is in TheBOSS. TheBOSS will schedule your Call Date and
Time and you don't have to worry about it any longer. If you made any other promises you can enter

Your Conversion Rate
Success formulas come out of experience and it is critically important to quantify your experience
to see if you are actually doing what you need to do to get where you want to go. For example,
committing to and doing an average of two Piques a day would give you about 60 Piques in a month.
For a beginner this should result in an average of one or two enrollments per month. This would be
a Conversion Rate of about 2-4%. Seasoned Network Marketers experience a Conversion Rate of
50% to 95% or more so you can see there is a lot of room for increasing skills.
If your Conversion Rate is low then you know you need to find a mentor - someone with a high Conversion Rate - and get yourself some coaching. The difference between your Conversion Rate and your mentor's rate is what we call "The Gap". Work on improving yourself and The Gap. Most
superstars that we know of started with a low Conversion Rate. Work on improving your skills, and

The commitment to piquing interest whether you do it by prospecting or telemarketing is another
important dimension TheBOSS can measure. Many people think of telemarketing as a bad word, therefore
something they'd never want to be guilty of doing. However, telemarketing is a word that just means
making lots of phone calls at one sitting. This is what TheBOSS will help you do very efficiently.
We prefer to use the term "focused calling". Anyone hoping to be successful in Network Marketing will have to commit to talking to hundreds, even thousands of people and piquing interest with as many of those new people as possible. Those who are successful in this business will recommend that a downline person commit to piquing interest a certain number of times a day or week pretty much as a habit. You will be successful when "piquing" is a habit.
Accountability: "I think one of the disadvantages of being in your own business is the fact that you don't have to be committed, if you don't want to. As an employee, if the boss told you to do something, then you would be obliged to do it. But when you're the boss you don't always keep commitments to yourself.
That's the thing I have seen in my group. Many people have committed to talking to five people
a day or three people a day. Then they only talk to one and get distracted. They think, OK,
I'll make it up tomorrow and I'll talk to this many extra tomorrow.
They don't take it seriously enough.
They really need to realize that they have hired themselves. They need to be committed and
true to themselves as they would be to a boss.
Be reasonable, but be consistent and persist and take it seriously. It is a business. If you want to make serious money, it's not easy. I think that a lot of people think, 'Oh well, I can sign up a couple of people and that's all I have to do. They'll do all this work and I'll make all this money.' Well that's not reality. They have to be accountable to themselves."

Make a Contract with a New Distributor
One of the biggest problems with Network Marketing is that presenters imply that someone can
make a lot of money if they just "sign up." This is misleading and is largely responsible for
giving Network Marketing a bad reputation. It sets up unreasonable expectations and disappointments.
The truth is that it takes a lot of piques multiplied by your Conversion Rate to obtain so many
Business Builders and so many consumers of your product. It is simple math. We know this and it
is important to make it clear that to enroll people into your business one must reach out and
pique interest. It is simple cause and effect. Piquing interest causes more distributors. With the
number of piques per week combined with the Conversion Rate you can accurately project your growth.
For the first time in history, a Sponsor can sign someone up, explain about piquing interest, and then make an agreement or contract with the new person to do so many piques per week. TheBOSS will keep track of a person's piques, presentation, number of phone calls, calculate their Conversion Rate, and display their progress. they will last 2-3 months, loose interest, and then drop out the back door - unnoticed. We call
this leakage or attrition. Most Network Marketers assume that attrition is a fact of life.
We assert that with Full Service to your downline it will grow bigger rather than shrink.
Excited people spread the word and you will flourish.
Your downline people can't be turned-on unless they are plugged into a source of support,
information, and energy. They will NOT and can NOT do it themselves. YOU just happen to be the
best, most logical, and experienced source right now to pump up your downline. In most cases,
they will not even bother to call you if they have a question or problem. YOU have to be
pro-active and now, with TheBOSS, you have the technology to do it! Set up a follow-up
protocol for ALL your people.

What if most Product Users experienced truly positive results?
Rarely does a Business Builder do the follow-up necessary for new consumers to experience
beneficial results. What would your business be like if most of your customers truly experienced
benefits and loved your product? What if there were many "raving fans?" To reach that goal you must
follow-up and follow-through. We recommend a specific protocol for new Business Builders and another
one for customers. Here is an example of a NONI customer protocol:

Make sure they commit to a 90-day trial period. They have to give the product a chance to work.

Make sure they understand the concept of Optimal Dosage and agree to the drinking instructions.
- Have them set health goals and fully document their current health. (Don't forget you are not a doctor, so make NO promises.)

Make sure they have product to use as soon as possible.
-
Follow-up as follows:
-
Call the day after they get their product and ask for questions.
Make sure they understand the drinking instructions and the concept of Optimal Dosage.

Call after 4 days. They should be halfway though their first bottle.
-
Call after 9 days. They should be done with their first bottle.
If not, then they are not remembering to take it or do not understand the idea of
Optimal Dosage.

Together with your customer make a follow-up plan and make a note of this plan in TheBOSS.

If you are new to your business, we recommend you start with a protocol like this from the very
beginning. Make it a habit. Market to them. Educate them. Talk to them. Love them and have fun with
them. If you don't keep in touch, they will drop off and fade away, even though you have a great product.
If you already have a large organization, then hire a Customer Service Representative. Even if it is just you and your partner, you are probably a big business whether you realize it or not. Those with large downlines often don't realize they head a multimillion-dollar business. This lack of awareness is largely due to a failure to communicate with those supporting them through their downline. By using TheBOSS to constantly connect directly with those in your downline, you will be amazed at how your volume increases.
In the NONI business, the average distributor consumption is a mere one fourth of an ounce.
Yet optimal dosage is 4 ounces a day! Just by spreading the word, educating and increasing awareness

And you can do so without enrolling a single other person!
Regular follow-up will also increase your customer and downline retention. It is a know business fact
that it is 10 times cheaper and easier to keep a customer than it is to obtain a new one. When someone
goes off Case Autoship or stops ordering product it is important to do an "exit interview".
You will be amazed what you learn.
Consider the Lifetime Value (LTV) of a single person drinking NONI and you will see why it is
smart to make a few structured follow-up phone calls to make sure they are off to a good start and
continue on the program. The average distributor (with family and loved ones) will consume $220 worth
of product per month. With a Rewards Member you will get a 20% commission per patient or about $44
each and every month for as long as they drink NONI.
This is recurring income of $528 per year or $10,560 for a 20-year period.
We recommend regular follow-up calls at least twice a year. Isn't it wise to make a few calls to
support your people in their health and to make this kind of money? It's actually better than that.
Each happy consumer will tell their happy story to their friends and relatives and many of them
will want your product.
YOU Design and Manage Your Work Load
How many hours a week will you commit to working your business? Besides making a commitment
to a number of piques a week, a new Business Builder should also commit to working a certain number or
hours per week. In Network Marketing, you are working by and for yourself. Those successful in this
business make it a habit to create a formal commitment, preferably in writing, to someone else.
Ideal candidates could be your upline, spouse, business manager, or mentor. This forces you to be more
accountable, both to yourself and to the witness. If you have a day job, you might begin with a commitment
of 3 hours per week and increase over time. Prospecting, or piquing interest in the world does NOT count
as part of your workweek because it is something you constantly do just in the process of living your life.
Work Time for your business only counts when you are using TheBOSS to follow-up and pursue other
business activities. When all actions that TheBOSS says need to be accomplished for this CallDate
are complete, then your Call Session is complete and you are current.
If you finish your follow-up with TheBOSS in less than your promised three hours in a week, then you need to do more piquing. Lead Flow Management
If you are a new Business Builder, first learn to prospect and make it a lifetime habit.
It is no different that sharing about a good movie, sports game, or good restaurant.
You are simply sharing about something you are excited about.
Next load your Address Book into TheBOSS. When you turn on TheBOSS just click on "Dial" and start
sharing with whomever TheBOSS picks. Have fun reconnecting with your people. Most people have 2-300 people
in their Address Book. Know that someday you will have completed going through your warm market and/or
Address Book. It is desirable to complete your Address Book and then plan what you will do next. It is a
big world.
Then create a new Phone Marketing Campaign. TheBOSS can import free or purchased leads from
various sources. You'll want to keep these in a separate file in TheBOSS. TheBOSS allows up to six
different files. That way you can look at BOSS statistics on how well a particular campaign is doing.

Find a group that you can relate to and then go after them with the Focused Calling that TheBOSS is best at accomplishing with ease.
Purchased Leads can be quite productive. They are also easy to import into TheBOSS.
We recommend you set up a protocol for processing and sorting these leads in a very efficient way.

First, call them. If you talk to them, invite them to a presentation or a website.

Then ask how long they need to review the material and when to follow-up. It should not take long
for them to review the material. Set an appointment in TheBOSS to follow-up as soon as possible.

Then use TheBOSS to keep your appointment and follow-up when you and your prospect say you will.

The prospect will be "in" or "out" of your business in just three dials. By "in" we mean interested.

Focus on the Fundamentals!
If you are serious about your business, you will measure and take appropriate action regarding these
Three Fundamentals that are like a three-legged stool. You must do all three or you will fall over.

First, you will work the hours just like you would if you had a job. This IS a job and you are
accountable to yourself. You will do your daily Call Sessions with TheBOSS. This will result in

Conversion Rate. Work on yourself until you reach your desired level. 50% is a good level.
By the way, you will never be "done" with working on your skills and you can quickly reach a level
that you are comfortable with. Share your stats and work with your mentor or upline. It is in their

Getting Started with TheBOSS
Training videos are (or will be) available on every subject. We have the ability to dial into your
computer remotely, look at your screen, operate your keyboard, and help you with any BOSS problem you
might have. In other words, we will help you with the hard stuff.
This is basically what we need to do:

Import your Address Book. This becomes your House File. TheBOSS can handle up to six files.
If you are working with NONI, import your NONI Office or other back office data either into your
House File or into a separate file.

Setup TheBOSS to dial the telephone at all the Call Locations your computer might dial use.
You might want to take your laptop and call from home, an office, a vacation home, or a hotel in
another city. Each of these Call Locations will have a different set of dialing rules that are
easily entered into TheBOSS.
In everyday use, a telephone line is plugged into your computer so when you click on the Dial Button (located on the bottom left corner of your screen) you will hear the tones as the
phone is dialed. You can then pick up the handset and start talking. Even better, plug a headset into
your handset so that you have both hands free to type on the keyboard and make Call Notes.
TheBOSS in Action - Maximum Efficiency
The Contact Screen has two sections:
The top half of the screen is the Contact Section, where all of your contact's personal
information is stored. There is ample room to document your contact's "why," goals, family data,
interests, health, etc.
The top right of the screen shows you the correct time and day at the Contact's location - very handy! It also tells you the time difference between your location the Contact's. +3 means it is 3 hours later there. You will never again make the mistake of waking up someone in the middle of the night.
The Action Section is on the bottom half of the screen. Here we find a record of the last ten,
or more interactions you have had with this person. This includes:

what was discussed,
-
what they did or didn't do,
-
how they are, and
-
promises made with dates (yours or theirs).
You will be able to see how your Contacts are progressing and formulate what you would like to
accomplish in this conversation. By having all the past conversations you have ever had visible,
you will be able to easily spot trends.
Making Phone Calls. When TheBOSS dials your phone numbers, you are maximizing functions and
efficiency.

You no longer need to lookup numbers and dial them manually.

Unless you entered the data incorrectly, there are no more wrong numbers.

Your total focus is on the notes you make while conversing with the person on the Contact Screen.
The notes are much more accurate than your memory.
Once you are ready and have a clear picture of what you would like to have happen on this call, click
the Dial Button and start talking. A headset eases your ability to take accurate notes;
especially on what you think should happen on the next call. Tell TheBOSS when you would like to
follow up with this person. TheBOSS calls the follow-up date the CallDate.
TheBOSS will pop this screen up again on that date.
You've now created a Call Cycle. Ideally, you want to set up a Call Cycle for every downline
and every contact. TheBOSS sorts and selects all your contacts by CallDate and presents to you only
the people that require attention on that date. Contacts are presented one at a time so it is just a
matter of looking at the screen, trusting what you wrote in the past, setting an intention in your
mind for the call, clicking on Dial, talking, taking notes and setup for the next action on this
Contact.
Notice there is no paper involved, no distractions, no pencils to sharpen, no phones to dial, and no
thinking about what to do next - just "trust TheBOSS."
